Richard Freeborn MA DPhil DLitt, is Professor Emeritus of Russian Literature at the University of London. He is the author of Turgenev: The Novelist's Novelist; A Short History of Modern Russia; The Rise of the Russian Novel and The Russian Revolutionary Novel. He contributed to The Cambridge History of Russian Literature; The Age of Realism; Encyclopedia of the Novel; Reference Guide to Russian Literature; and The Cambridge Companion to Tolstoy and has co-edited Russian Literature Attitudes from Pushkin to Solzhenitsyn; Russian and Slavic Literature and Ideology in Russian Literature. Phenomenal Bible Study

Our church did this Bible study over this past year and I cannot begin to describe how much it has affected those of us who went through it. I am a cradle Catholic and my eyes were opened to so much that we never learned growing up and what I feel is fundamental to Christian beliefs. We were never taught Salvation history and this Bible study explains the Bible, God's plan for us, and how that plan was in place from the beginning of time. We could see God's hand in everything and how it all fit together had us shaking our heads every week in wonderment. I've heard people say there's no point in reading the Old Testament since Jesus came and changed everything or The Old Testament has too much killing and negative stuff in it. I personally feel, especially after doing Great Adventures, that reading and understanding the OT gives us so much insight to God His love for us and His plans for us. I am very grateful our church chose to do this Bible study. I will definately be doing the Teen program with my kids when they get a wee bit older. You do not want to miss this Bible study!

great adveenture bible timeline

This set is both exciting and compelling. It is truly an "adventure" unlike any other...and to think it is biblical is just so awe inspiring!
I have learned so much about my Judeo-Christian faith that I can only continue to reflect on the truths so eloquently and succinctly presented.
I have been with literally 70 other people who have experienced the same awe I have with this set. I wanted to have my own set to listen to again and again and to open the doors for others to experience the gift of this message through these CD's.

Excellent course! Excellent materials!

I went to our church's bible class once before ordering the material. Couldn't wait to receive it. Took longer than I hoped because Amazon accepted my order then canceled it 4 days later saying it was out of stock. Reordered through another vendor and got it in about another 4 days. Couldn't be happier with the material. There's a lot of reading involved and I wish I had more time to devote to it (I work full-time). Class discussions are excellent and video presentation by Jeff Cavins outstanding!

A Fun Summer Read!

Between her family, her friends, and her job, Allison Doll has plenty of drama in her life without adding in a guy. Especially, a guy who has his heart set on leaving to play professional baseball. When the handsome Ashton Boyd begins showing up at her job and wisking her away to lunch or dinner, Allison is cautious. Afterall, Ashton is a minor celebrity and she's already got enough things to deal with. As Allison and Ashton spend time together, she is undeniably drawn to him, but hesitant to allow herself to pursue the relationship. Afterall, it would only take one phone call for Ashton to leave her... forever.

Her Best Catch by Lindi Peterson is a sweet, mostly light-hearted read. I read this story in less than 48 hours which testifies to the story's ability to hook the reader. Although some parts of the plot could be easily anticipated, I found it to be authentic and entertaining. Allison's character development was interesting to watch and the first person point-of-view was effective. The comic moments in the book were a nice touch. I recommend Her Best Catch to fans of Chistian chick lit and Christian romance.

If you like romance you will enjoy Lindi's debut novel. Allison Doll is dealing with many changes in her life. Her mother is turning fifty and acting very strange. Her best friends have become a couple and she is feeling left out.
A new guy comes to her church and sparks fly - maybe a little too much. Allison faces more than one challenge on her journey to romance. Come along with her and find out if she finds the man of her dreams.

Her Best Catch was my first ever Inspirational Romance and I loved it! An unexpected surprise. I enjoyed how Lindi develops the characters until you feel like you know them. The romance between Allison and Ashton builds up slowly and carefully so much so that you can't help but cheer for them and clap when they finally admit to being in love! Love it and highly recommend this delightful sweet romance!.
