This book is sadly a waste of time and money

Don't repeat my mistake. If you're serious about passing the 70-533 exam, this book won't help.

PROS:
The book gives a reasonable break down of high and mid level topics to guide your examination preparation.

CONS:
Q&A section at the end of each chapter has several wrong answers.
Q&A sections are weak and do not reflect the actual test.
Editorial mistakes throughout. I'm not talking about little errors, but big elementary school mistakes.
Sections don't cover the right material deep enough.

SUMMARY:
This book is sadly a waste of time and money. The actual exam is filled with Powershell, case study questions, and "put execution steps in the right order." This book does almost nothing to prepare you for the test. A better exam prep would be the MeasureUp online practice exam and the real Azure documentation.

And ANY Exam that makes you memorize all the different sizes of VMs available in order to know what is the best fit is not reall

There are a TON of inconsistencies in the book and a lot of questions flat out have the wrong answers. There are even mispelled words in azure command examples. You can clearly tell the author of chapters 1 and 2 did NOT write chapter 3. The complete flow changes with inconsistent variable usage and inconsistent numbering of questions to answers. Whoever edited this book missed a LOT of stuff. Also, Question 7 for chapter 3.1 has a choice between and which is unfair because is a sub element of . The readings do not make it logical when confronted with the Thought experiments at the end of each section of a chapter. And ANY Exam that makes you memorize all the different sizes of VMs available in order to know what is the best fit is not really checking your knowledge of the platform. Any normal human being would just look at what is available when making that choice without having to Memorize all the different sizes from Free to Premier. Example Question: A worker role requires at least 3 cores, 48 GB of memory and local resource storage of 500 GB. Which instance size would meet this. Most people would look this up or query it in PowerShell. They certainly wouldn't have to remember it.

Couldn't stand it! Tirelessly repetitive, boring to exhaustion. I don’t want to read about how perfect and divine the author is, how fascinated he is with his life, with his achievements…

Great book

I bought this book after reading the book of poetry "Mind" by Woo Myung. I've also read the Nature's Flow and The Living Eternal World. Unlike the other 3 books of poetry, this one is an actual book but with short chapters/topics and a few poems as well. I like the idea of discarding the mind that is causing all of my agony. He talks about some religions but what he says about them seems to make sense. I am very curious now about Maum Meditation. I've looked online and read good and negative things that people are saying about it, but the negative stuff doesn't match with what Woo Myung is talking about in the book. He doesn't sound like a founder of a cult based on what he says in his books. All he seems to be saying is that people have their own individual minds that cause all these problems and the world would be better if we all discarded it. Wouldn't that be so nice? I don't know if people went to a fake Maum Meditation and are writing weird reviews about it but I'm going to give it a try and see for myself. I like what he is saying in the books.

Convincing portrait of German society during Nazi reign.

Anybody who has ever wondered why things happened the way they did in Nazi Germany may find some answers here.
In contrast to other writers, screenwriters or film directors who sometimes prefer to dwell on horrific details of crimes committed by a totalitarian regime, Anna Seghers offers an insight into people's lives.
This is a portrait of German society of the late 1930s as realistic and convincing as one might dare to hope for. The fact that Anna Seghers was a contemporary distinguishes this book from many other works with similar aspirations. She wrote based on her own experiences, as well as accounts of friends, relatives or fellow exiles, while events similar to the ones narrated actually took place in her home country. (The Seventh Cross was first published in 1942.)
Seghers' ability to create believable characters is amazing. She managages to disintegrate the anonymous masses who cheered the Nazi dictators, and shows us THE PEOPLE in its diversity: Individuals with individual fears and hopes and scars from previous fights.
I approached this book very reluctantly, bearing in mind its status as standard school lecture (in Germany) and the author's standing as a GDR icon of Socialist literature. Segher's political views however, though clearly noticecable, do not harm the story and in this particular case may even have equiped her with a deeper insight into what really happened.
Apart from the book's informative value, the excellent writing style as well as the gripping story make it a great read.

great book about the escape out of an Nazi prison

Seven men escape out of a conzentration camp in Nazi-Germany. Their goal now is not to get captured again. Its difficult to trust somebody because peoples true characters appear suddenly. The nazis catch one after the other again, let them nail on trees and torture them in the cruelest mannner. At last there is just one tree left empty. The seventh cross is a fabulous book. It describes in an very vivid and exciting way the situation among the german population at that time. The people midst decides about the lifes of these seven completely different guys. It's not easy to find the way out through the tight net of nazis. Tough situation let peoples true face appear. Danger is everywhere and you can't trust anybody. Faith, hope but also evil and death are reunited in that seventh cross (last tree that is left). The whole story of one man reflects and embodies the grief of a lot of german people. But finally it's just another war. Silence will return. Nobody is able to ! surpress and reign in such an unhuman manner about other people.

I've read a few of the books in this MIT Press series and they have all impressed me so far. Sustainability contains a brief overview of 'sustainability' which can be here outlined as 'approaches to environmental solvency' because the book covers a wide range of angles on the topic of sustainability: its scientific applications, its social realities, its political realities, etc. 'The environment' is a nebulous concept so we shouldn't be surprised to find that the same is true of 'sustainability.' If you can accept that a book on this topic will be a bit scattered, then you can appreciate it. -Ryan Mease

Yes, You Can Heal Your Life

This book changed my life. I know you've heard that said about a lot of books and I'm sure there are other fine books out there. But this one,You Can Heal Your Life, by Louise Hay, is the motherbook from which all others evolved. I was introduced to it in 1990, 26 years ago, when I was 42. At the time I was reeling from a pessimistic cancer diagnosis, the end of my marriage, and the development of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I'm almost 69 and this is the book that showed me how to live with and through all that and more. I've given away at least a hundred of these books and this one went to my new friend, Tina, who is excited about the changes in her life she has already made. I can't recommend it highly enough.
